The first “Texture” festival was held in September 2010 in Perm and it immediately became a significant event in the field of contemporary art. Huge interest for the festival was the basis for the work on its information platform, which visually presented all participants, their films and performances, as well as members of the jury, their assessments and reviews.

We chose a black and white design style with accents created by colorful pictures and highlighted important phrases and headlines. Site navigation was based on the special features of the festival. There was a large section “About the Festival” where one could read about the members of the jury and see a photo gallery of all the years. Then there was a section with the participants’ works distributed according to nominations, each of them accompanied by a description and a video clip.
CONVENIENT CALENDAR OF EVENTS
Special attention was given to setting up a calendar of upcoming events with a wide variety of filters. Festival visitors could, for example, view all upcoming events on a particular day or could see all events in the category of cinema or theater only. In addition, due to the fact that the events were held at different venues, the site had an interactive map. After selecting the desired site, visitors could immediately see its location on the city map.
